Reborn Baby DollIt is extremely important that you do not consider your reborn as toy; there are multiple reasons for this and first and foremost you should consider if you would treat an actual baby as one - of course you certainly would not and your reborn baby doll is no different.

It is also very important to not let children play with them either. They are not suitable as childrens toys due to the delicate parts that may come loose, and if they are curious as children often are then you might want to consider supervised care of it. More importantly, You should not let your reborn doll replace your children though, and this is a serious comment - some people take things too far.

Mosaic DollsThe reborn should not be man handled with any exerted force - many of the bits the make up the beautiful baby are brittle while others are delicatly attached - they will not withstand force though and it will cause them to fall off. This will include the finger nails, hair, eyelashes and brows.

The temperature may cause damage to the reborn if you arent careful. If it gets too hot it will cause the doll vinyl to become soft and may damage the coloring or the paint.

In extreme cases it may even melt of cause warping and flattening of its features. Dont leave a light near the doll as this can get it too hot. Likewise, cold will damage it it it gets too cold, it will crack the doll.

Reborn Dolls InnocenceDust is the destroyer of many collectible items, so you should dust your reborn doll from time to time. Dusting it gently will keep it in prime condition for many years although you should not use polish.

Some people keep their reborns in a showcase which preserves them for much longer so if you wont be moving yours around too often this is a possibility for you.

This should all help you keeping your reborn dolls innocence and features as fresh as when you first got it.

Saucy Walker DollsThe Ideal Toy Company began in 1902. They first produced teddy bears. In 1930 they produced popular dolls such as Shirley Temple and Judy Garland. The dolls produced by Ideal are considered to be very good quality dolls.

In 1982, the Ideal Toy Company was purchased by the CBS Toy Company, which later went out of business. Today, we seem to know and hear more of the Ideal Novelty Toy Company than the CBS Toy Company.

Examples of dolls made by the Ideal Company in the 1950s are:

Saucy Walker: Stood 16′ and 22′ tall, hard plastic, walker, pin jointed body, wig, sleep eyes, open mouth with two teeth and some were made with a closed mouth, some are criers, some had bent knees, also a black version. Numbers are Ideal Dolls/W16 (for the 16′ height doll) and Ideal Dolls/W22 (for the 22′ height doll). All dolls were dressed in 1950s style dresses. Produced 1951 to 1955.

Betsy McCall Doll Betsy McCall: Stands 14′ tall with a vinyl head, and a Toni body. The 1954 version was a walker. Betsy McCall was produced in the years of 1952-1954.

Ruth: Stands 16, 19 or 21′ tall and uses the Toni walker body with V markings on head. Some of the Ruth bodies were marked V-19. Produced in 1953.

Cream Puff Baby: Stands 19, 21, 23 or 24′ tall, is all vinyl, rooted hair, blue eyes, dimpled cheeks and was produced 1959 to 1962.

Patti Playpal: One of Ideal’s most popular dolls, stood 35′ tall the size of a three year old child with markings on the head that read: Ideal Doll Toy Corp./G-35 or B-19-1. Produced 1959-1961.

There are of course, many, many more dolls that were produced by the Ideal Doll Toy Company. These are just to name a few.

Toni DollThe Ideal Toni dolls were designed by Bernard Lipfert in 1949. It was a rather expensive doll for this era. The Toni dolls were produced as a marketing tool for the Toni Cosmetic Company and sold with a home permanent kit.

The kit consisted of a permanent solution made of sugar and water, end papers and a comb. I suppose the idea was to pretend being a beautician with the Toni doll. The Ideal Toni Dolls had a wig easy to identify. The wefts of hair are folded over and stitched into a center part. She was also issued with many different dress styles.

The Ideal Cricket Doll was a 16′ fashion doll introduced in the year of 1971 as ‘Posin’ Cricket.’ This doll was especially produced for and sold only by Sears & Roebuck Company. Some collectors consider her to be part of the Crissy ‘family’ of dolls. Cricket’s appeal was her ‘growing-hair.’

Shirley Temple DollThe Ideal Doll, ,   was one of the most popular dolls ever made. Some of them today are worth a lot of money. Shirley Temple dolls in rare outfits can sell for hundreds of dollars and the very, very mint dolls in their original boxes can sell for $1,000 and more.

The rarer varieties like the Baby Shirley dolls can also be very expensive for today’s doll collector. The 1957 Shirley Temple dolls sell for more than the later early 1970s Shirley Temple dolls. The 1982 re-release Shirley Temple is an example of a vinyl Shirley that can be purchased for $50 or less.

The Shirley Temple dolls were made in several different sizes: 11′, 12′, 27′ and 36.’ There were other companies who produced the Shirley Temple doll; however, the Ideal Toy Corporation was the best known. Ideal produced the dolls from the 1930s until the company went out of business in other 1970.

Those Baby Boomers had the right idea, because we are living in a world where only those with power get to call the shots. What we need are folks who travel to the inside, and sticks with their beliefs all the way thru, not just keeping their jobs by, It would be a fun novelty to see weird ideas like this defended, especially if there’s lots of examples.

Ashton Drake Dolls As Collectibles

With time, every aspect of our life has become more sophisticated and advanced toys for children is not away from the impact. Toys for children have witnessed a sudden burst of variety and overwhelming choices. Toys now have a revised definition though they are now not just sources of fun and entertainment, but a lot of toys serve as a mode of education and training for children.

Ashton Drake DollsThere is yet another more interesting aspect to toys and they are very aptly named collectibles. The toy manufacturers have now created a new market for collectibles, its amazing how these collectible toys or rather items have found buyers among children and adults both.

For example Ashton Drake dolls, if you have seen at least one Aston Drake doll, you would know why they are called collectibles. Ashton Drake Dolls are very real looking dolls and the sizes that they come in make them look all the more real because the sizes of dolls mostly correspond to real human-size.

One has to take note of the fact that most of the online sellers of the Ashton Drake Dolls clearly mention that these dolls are not meant for children to play with it. Most of them market these dolls as ‘dolls for the child in you’. It is certainly an amusing concept as some of the websites have an outlet where the dolls are sold in the manner the hospitals discharge a newborn baby.

Very Real Looking Baby Doll The buyers of the Ashton Drake Dolls who come to the store are treated as the new parents and once they buy the doll of their choice they are handed over the doll bought as if they are sending the newborn home with the new parents. One feels how creative the toys and collectibles have become and equally creative are the sellers of these toys.

Most of the Ashton Drake Dolls are created based on themes and are marketed based on those themes. Like for an example ‘Emmy’ is one of the Ashton Drake Dolls from a theme based collection called - Tiny Miracles. It’s a baby girl doll that is again a very real looking baby doll and is one of the most popular collectibles of Ashton Drake’s products.

Realistic DollNormally most of the dolls that are the toy dolls are made up of either plastic, fiber or wood but the Ashton Drake Dolls are known to use their trademark materials that give all their dolls and also other collections like Teddy Bears, jewelry, Figurines and Ornaments close to life and very real feel. One can say that Ashton Drake is one of the popular and highly acclaimed companies that manufacture realistic dolls and Teddy bears.

All the features of the Ashton Drake Dolls are carefully carved out of again their trademarked material Real-Touch Vinyl Skin. The hair is micro-rooted and the eyelashes are deceptively real and one can’t find any visible difference between real and created eye lashes here. A close observation would reveal that even the fingernails and toenails are hand painted to give the doll an overall realistic look.

Each doll is similar, yet unique, and sold for about $20 each. Six of the 10 were also produced in black versions. An Asian and Hispanic doll was added to the line.

The six additional outfits and diapers that were sold separately for the Baby Face dolls included:

Some of the most popular brands offer all of these options and can help your child to have more realistic playtime.

For younger little girls, you’ll want to think about dolls like Baby Alive. Baby Alive allows your child to make and feed "food" to the doll. She will also be able to change her realistic diaper after a meal. Baby Alive makes realistic noises and she actually sucks a bottle or eats from a spoon.

If you’re looking for something a little lower-tech, Fisher Price makes Little Mommy dolls that are the perfect size for toddlers. They also come with accessories like car seats, strollers, play pens, and high chairs. Little Mommy will please any little girl who wants to play with doll toys.

BarbieBarbie is, of course, the most iconic of all doll toys. She’s been around for over 50 years and she continues to remain very popular.

She comes in many different versions and has younger siblings, pets, and many different careers.

Barbie is great for kids ages three and above. Little girls from ages five to eight are particularly interested in Barbie.

Bratz Dolls

Girls also enjoy Bratz dolls. These dolls are famous for their large heads and tiny bodies. They’re also known for their trendy fashion sense.

Not only can you play with Bratz dolls, but they also have hundreds of accessories such as pets, purses, shoes, and furniture. You can also purchase homes for your Bratz dolls.

American Girl is another popular doll with little girls. These dolls are about 18 inches tall and are very high quality. Each doll comes with a story about her life. You’ll also find furniture, clothes, and other accessories. These dolls are also popular with mothers who appreciate their wholesome look. Dressy Daisy
What little girl wouldn’t love this doll that is cuddly, cute, and easy to dress up? Dressy Daisy is one of the best toys for 2009 for little girls. With the age range being ages two and up, this little doll will grow with your child.

Personalized Easter Basket Ideas for Kids and Teens
For younger girls, put everything in a fancy hat or dress-up suitcase: dress-up clothes, crowns, shoes, and little girl make-up kits. For older girls, fill a makeup container with makeup samples (get them free or buy them on the net), … This Easter basket idea works really well for young children: make the container a toy all on its own. Fill a toy truck, a doll house or case, a beach bucket, etc., with all your Easter stuff.

Back Door Logic: Rich Girl, Poor Girl
The other little girl never asked for anything because she knew her parents didn’t have the money. Instead, she used her imagination and made her toys… dolls made out of cloths pins and paper mache. She had a lot of fun. … Poor girl and her Uncle talked about it and poor girl said, "Uncle, she is your daughter. it is not right for me to take her dad away from her. Let’s part ways now and know that I love you.
